The Gabriel House!

Well today we made it! We arrived at the Gabriel house just before lunch, and were able to help a bit with the kids. We had traveled with Dr. Alvero and his wife Soledad, who had never been to the Gabriel house before. God uses all things for His good - several of the children needed medical care and the Doctor was able to provide it for them! Please pray for two of the girls, Sonja and Angelica, they are both very ill and need God's supernatural intervention and healing.
Ed and I walked to the store (tienda) and bought some basic groceries for the week. We are staying on site in an apartment. The whole Gabriel house has changed around. We're staying in the old HIV wing, above us is now the office and activity area. The apartment we stayed in before now houses a couple who manage day to day operations (under the direction of the Favers) - so Ed and I got a bit confused!
Please pray also for Ted and Renie Faver who are both quite ill. They are in the States today for medical care. We hope they will be home tomorrow.
Tonight we plan to attend church with some of the children. Tomorrow we hope to figure out ways to help the staff with their jobs (ie: sweeping so they can take care of the children). Ed has already been learning the boys special sign language. Please pray for us that we may be blessings to the staff and children at the Gabriel House.
